Rate limits
Design your integration around a default sustained quota of 30 TPS (about 1,800 requests per minute). That is the rate clients should aim for in normal production traffic.
| Guidance | Throughput | Rough RPM |
|---|---|---|
| Recommended (sustained) | 30 TPS | 1,800 |
| Brief bursts | Above 30 TPS for short periods | — |
What to aim for
- Keep sustained traffic at or below 30 TPS (1,800 RPM).
- Brief bursts above that are fine.
- Need more? Contact your account manager — we can raise the quota per merchant.
30 TPS is the default client target, not the platform maximum. Capacity is higher; limits are there so partners share a clear, safe operating band. Higher quotas are available on request.
Retries
If a request fails with a transient error (500, 502, 503), retry with exponential backoff and jitter. Do not retry in a tight loop that pushes sustained traffic well above 30 TPS.
